ARCHITECTURAL SYSTEMS

For manufacturers

Looking for representation
in the Mid-Atlantic?

Architectural Systems is actively adding lines. If your product gets specified rather than bought off a shelf — if it needs someone in the room during design development, not a catalog in a lobby — that is the kind of line we take.

What we bring to a line

Territory, a specification-first sales model, and the part most rep firms skip — what happens after the wall is installed.

01

Specification selling

We write three-part CSI sections, supply CAD and BIM details, and get in front of architects during design development. Orders that arrive already specified do not get value-engineered out at bid.

02

Real territory coverage

Virginia, DC, Maryland, North Carolina, and South Carolina, run from Ashland, Virginia. Close enough to be on a jobsite the same week, which is the only radius a manufacturer should care about.

03

Submittal competence

Shop drawings, product data, samples, and structural coordination packaged to clear review the first time. Fewer resubmittals means fewer schedule complaints landing on your factory.

04

Service after closeout

Warranty registration, annual inspection, and field service. Your warranty exposure gets managed by someone local instead of escalating straight to your customer service desk.

05

A short card, on purpose

We carry few lines and know them completely. You are not one of forty logos on a card, competing for attention with products we barely understand.

06

No channel conflict

We will tell you exactly what else we carry before either of us spends time. If a line overlaps something on our card, we say so in the first conversation.

What we carry now

Two lines today. Both specification-sold, both technical, both requiring someone who can read a reflected ceiling plan.

See the full line card

  • Solatube — tubular daylighting devices. Division 08. SkyVault, SolaMaster, and Brighten Up series across commercial, institutional, and industrial work.
  • KWIK-WALL — operable partitions, movable glass walls, and accordion systems. Division 10. Certified 42 to 56 STC, manual and electric.

Adjacent categories we are open to

  • Skylights, smoke vents, and roof hatches
  • Specialty glazing and entrance systems
  • Acoustic wall and ceiling treatments
  • Interior specialties and demountable partitions
  • Daylight controls and shading systems

Edit this list to match the categories you actually want inbound calls about — it is the part manufacturers read first.

What we look for

We turn down more lines than we take. These are the questions we ask first.

  • Is it specified, or is it quoted? Products that live in a spec section reward the work we do. Commodity products bought on price do not.
  • Does it need technical selling? If an architect can pick it from a website without help, they do not need us and neither do you.
  • Will the factory back the rep? Training, current literature, samples, responsive quoting, and leads passed through rather than around us.
  • Is the territory protected? Defined boundaries and a commission structure that survives a house account showing up mid-project.
  • Does it fit the buildings we already work in? Schools, houses of worship, hotels, rec centers, healthcare, and distribution. A line that lands on the same plan sheets as our current card is worth more to both of us.
  • Can we service it? If we cannot stand behind it in year eight, we will not sell it in year one.

How we work with principals

What you should expect from us once a line is signed.

  • Monthly pipeline and quotation reporting in your format
  • Joint calls on target accounts and key specifiers
  • AIA continuing-education presentations to architecture firms in the territory
  • Sample, literature, and display management — kept current, not stacked in a closet
  • Trade show and association coverage across the region
  • A named contact for your inside sales and customer service teams
  • Annual territory plan with targets agreed before the year starts

Tell us about your line

Send the product, the territory you need covered, and what your current representation looks like. We will tell you quickly whether it is a fit — including when it is not.
