Daylight at the roof. Division at the floor plate. Every line on this card has to earn the same projects — buildings where one room has to do several jobs, and has to feel good doing it. We are actively adding to the card.

Solatube

Daylighting systems · Vista, CA

Solatube makes tubular daylighting devices — a rooftop collector, a highly reflective tube, and a ceiling diffuser that puts daylight where a skylight can't reach. The reflectivity is the whole trick: 99.7% specular tubing means light survives a long run down through a plenum instead of dying in the first ten feet.

Three commercial families cover the range, from a 10" tube over a corridor to a 29" tube dropping daylight into a gymnasium a hundred feet below the roof.

If the roof-to-ceiling run is long or the ceiling is high, tell us early — tube diameter and routing are cheap to change on a drawing and expensive to change on a roof.

  • SkyVault Series 29" tube for high, open volumes — gymnasiums, warehouses, arenas, airports. Straight runs past 100 ft.
  • SolaMaster Series 14" and 21" for offices, classrooms, retail, and municipal work. Runs to 50 ft with 0–90° angles.

KWIK-WALL

KWIK-WALL has been building movable walls in Springfield, Illinois since 1961 — U.S. owned, U.S. manufactured. The range runs from a 40 STC accordion in a multi-purpose room up to a 56 STC steel-framed partition closing a twenty-four-foot ballroom opening.

Since 2023 they also carry the Hufcor 600 Series in North America, which matters if you have an existing Hufcor opening that needs matching rather than replacing.

The STC number on the panel is not the STC of the wall. Seals, the head condition, and what happens above the ceiling decide it — that conversation belongs in design development, not in the submittal.
