Meet the team

Architectural Systems is a small firm on purpose. When you call about a daylighting layout or an operable partition detail, you reach an owner — not a queue. Both of us came up on the installing and estimating side of commercial construction, which is why our specification support tends to survive contact with the field.

JM

Joe Maynard

Chief Executive Officer

Joe Maynard is a fourth-generation glazier who has worked on commercial jobsites since 2005, starting as a kid on his family’s projects. He returned to the trade after six years of active-duty military service, moved into manufacturers’ representation in 2019, and acquired Architectural Systems in 2024.

As CEO, Joe leads the firm and its manufacturer partnerships — the lines Architectural Systems carries, the territory it serves, and the relationships behind both.

His background is in commercial glazing contracting across the Mid-Atlantic, and it shapes how the firm works. Product recommendations account for sequencing, hoisting, tolerance, and warranty exposure — not just performance data on a cut sheet.

Joe lives in Fauquier County with his wife and their four sons.

John Creasey

President

John Creasey came up through commercial glazing and building envelope work, first as a project manager and then as an estimator, before moving to the representation side full time.

He holds a degree in accounting, and it shows in how Architectural Systems prices work — budgets that reconcile at design phase and still hold through buyout.

As President, John manages the firm’s project support: takeoffs and budget pricing during design, submittals, lead times, and coordination from award through installation.

John lives in Henrico County with his wife, their son, and their daughter.
